Like a Flowing River

Paulo Coelho’s Like the Flowing River is a novel that conveys profound truths through short phrases, stories, and metaphors.

My love for this book began in 2015. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to finish reading it the first time, and now, here I am, finally completing it with a deep sense of happiness.

Must-read book for all of us, to find ourselves where we are. To know that we are worth it, and we have one life, and are not meant to live it in mediocrity, and leave our questions unanswered. It helps us to grow spiritually, rebuild the broken pieces of our life, and recognize opportunities, while gently reminding us that even if we’ve missed one before, there’s always a second chance. The choices we make and the intentions behind our every action may not always be perfect, but we keep learning through every lesson. And above all, it teaches us to always be open to love, and to nourish it, not just for others, but first and foremost, for ourselves. After all, “the unhappier you, the unhappier your family and friends.”
